What is too old for a meal is food for pigs, chickens and goats. Their manure becomes compost. The compost feeds a new harvest. The circle closes.
Within 20km of the city we work with 14 farms — from small city farms in Osdorp to care farms in Waterland. Our refrigerated truck runs weekly to deliver food and collect compost.
Happy Citizens visit open days for free and receive seasonal produce direct from farms — eggs, vegetables, honey and sometimes chicken.
